SA 330 PUMA conference
Dear friends,
SLHADA is pleased to invite you to its next conference. The poster is attached and the presentation follows.
The SA 330 PUMA has been in service with the French Army since 1970. Designed as a medium transport helicopter (16 passengers over 500 km), nearly 1,700 were built up to 1987.
It took part in OPEX operations (including the fight against gold-panning in French Guiana) as a troop transport, first-aid, armed reconnaissance, weather watch...,... This workhorse of the French Army's light aviation corps deserves to be remembered for all the services it rendered before it retired.
No one is better placed than Lieutenant-Colonel Philippe Bentresque of the Arme Blindée Cavalerie to tell us about the career of this emblematic aircraft.
